deValence was established in 2001 by Alexandre Dimos and Gaël Etienne, who were joined by Ghislain Triboulet in 2007. The studio seeks to develop a distinctive approach to graphic design, visual communication and type design. Its output, structured by editorial content and a strong relashionship with type, spans catalogues, artist book, posters and magazines, as well as visual identities and signage. Since 2008 they run Back Cover, an international magazine about graphic design and typography, which showcases the ‘Dada Grotesk.’
